Sapient Pearwood - Band Bio
Started in 1999 in the small village Egmond-Binnen as a formation consisting of two individuals known as Peter Tambach(guitar) and Bas Snabilie(drums). They got long-time friend Maarten van Tilborg to spice up the harmony with his throat. Searching for a style, they already had written some real hits when Richard Wester dropped by to help us out in the lower frequency spectrum. He got other things on his mind and Loek Hauwert was the new bassgroovist. Combining metal guitar riffage, grooving basslines, bashing fusiondrums and organic electronics to an intense mix. A style that has an 'alternative' feel (whatever that means) with metal tightness, but above all is emotional and hard. They call it 'Stevige Rock' to keep it simple. A misleading term for a beautifully complex band.
